The report also suggests that he may wait until January to finalize his plans, which could potentially include retirement if he cannot secure a suitable deal.
This would be a disappointing outcome for a goalkeeper who clearly has many years of professional football ahead of him. However, he may need to adjust his salary expectations, considering that he was earning £375,000 per week at Manchester United (according to Capology), in order to secure a long-term contract.
